My name is Saranya, and I created this site Lift Your Name, to reveal the power and glory of our Lord Jesus Christ as it is written in the Bible.

You’d probably notice from my name that I was not born a Christian, and you are right! I was raised as a Hindu, but in my search of finding the One true God, I found Jesus.

The focus of this blog is to help people read the bible from the bible itself and not hearing it from another person’s interpretation.

If we read the Bible like a story book, or a history lesson, it is impossible to grasp the full message, as every word in scripture has a significant relevance.

I believe as we pray and read the scriptures, seeking the One true God with all our heart, the Lord will reveal Himself to us through the Holy Spirit.

While Jesus’ disciples understood the Gospel message from the Great Master Jesus Himself, Apostle Paul on the other hand received it as a revelation from the resurrected Christ.

Unlike Paul we have not met Jesus face-to-face, yet it is His Holy Spirit who dwells within each believer, who helps impart knowledge and understanding through God’s Word.

The truth is that reading the Bible for the first time may not be as clear as you may expect. The language is new, the story is new and the characters are new. Besides, Jesus often spoke in parables and figures of speech (John 16:25) which can make it hard to follow. Note: Matthew 13:13, Jesus also explains the reason behind why He speaks in parables.

While we walk through various trials and tribulations on earth, it is the living Word of God that brings peace, encouragement and hope for believers. The life of Christ is beautifully revealed in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John which are part of the New Testament.

The stories in the Bible are there for a purpose.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16 (NKJV)

My hope is to encourage you to start reading your Bible through visually engaging content, and for everyone regardless of their faith, to find hope in Jesus just like I did.
