One of the most well-known Bible verses for healing is found in James 5:14-15 (NIV), which says, “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.”
This verse reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles, and that we can turn to our faith community for support and healing.
Another powerful Bible verse for healing is found in Psalm 107:19-20 (NIV), which says, “Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.”

What the Bible Says About Healing
When you are sick or in pain, it can be difficult to find comfort. However, the Bible offers many verses that provide hope and healing. Here are some things to keep in mind:
God’s Promises for Healing
If it is in Gods will, He promises to heal those who trust in Him. Jeremiah 17:14 (NIV) states, “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.” This verse shows that God is the ultimate healer and can provide healing for both physical and emotional ailments.
The Role of Faith and Prayer
Faith and prayer are essential components of healing. In James 5:15(NIV), it says, “And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.” This verse highlights the importance of having faith in God’s healing power and seeking his help through prayer.
Examples of Healing in the Bible
Throughout the Bible, there are many examples of healing. In Exodus 15:26(NIV), it says, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.” This verse shows that God can heal physical ailments and protect us from sickness.
Overall, the Bible offers many verses that provide hope and healing for those who are sick or in pain. By having faith in God’s healing power and seeking help from the church, you can find comfort and strength during difficult times.

Healing from sickness may seem like giant request to God.
But with God nothing is impossible, Luke 1:37.

The power lies in the word of God.
So today I pray that we look past our troubles and seek Him. Seek the Healer and entrust our sickness into His hands, and believe that He will make us whole, in Jesus name. Amen.
