The Lord’s Prayer (also called the Our Father Prayer) is one of the most well-known prayers in the Bible.
It can found in the book of Matthew 6:9–13, where Jesus gives this prayer to His followers as a model to show them how to pray, not just what to say. It’s part of the Sermon on the Mount, where Jesus teaches people how to live in a way that pleases God.
The Lord’s Prayer KJV
Our Father, which art in heaven,
Matthew 6:9-13 kjv
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.
While this is the original version of the Our Father prayer, below is a different version to teach young children.
The Lord’s Prayer for Kids

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be your name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Do not lead us to the test,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and forever. Amen.
