All good things come from God.

James 1:17 says, Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Every Good and Perfect Gift Comes from God: Understanding the Source of Blessings

As believers, we know that every good and perfect gift comes from God. This truth is found in James 1:17 and this verse reminds us that everything we have, whether it be material possessions, relationships, or talents, is a gift from God.

It can be easy to take these gifts for granted and forget where they come from.

We may become prideful and think that we deserve all that we have, but this is not the case.

It is important to remember that God is the source of all good things in our lives.

When we acknowledge this truth, we are able to cultivate a spirit of gratitude and thankfulness, recognizing that everything we have is a gift from God’s gracious hand.

The Source of Good Gifts

As believers, we understand that every good and perfect gift comes from God. But what does this mean? Let’s explore the concept of good and perfect gifts and the role that God plays in giving them.

Understanding the Concept of Every Good and Perfect Gift

When we talk about good and perfect gifts, we are referring to the blessings that God gives us.

It’s important to remember that these gifts are not earned or deserved, but rather they are given to us out of God’s love and grace.

As we receive these gifts, we should be grateful and use them for His glory.

It’s also important to recognize that not all gifts are tangible or easy to appreciate. Sometimes, God uses difficult circumstances to shape us and draw us closer to Him. In these moments, we must trust that He is working all things for our good.

James 1:17 Everything Good comes from God

God’s word is true, His power is unmatchable and His love is unending.

Not only does He give abundantly to us, He also multiplies what we have. That’s why it is so important to share what we have with others.

Luke 6:38 – Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Just as He has supplied us with food, a house, and clothes, giving to others not only makes us feel good, but in doing so, we are helping God’s people.

2 Corinthians 9 is a great chapter to read about generosity and its rewards.

All Good Gifts Come from God

Let us have a read of a small portion of it in 2 Corinthians 9:6-8;

Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

It is such a blessing to give, but sometimes we fail to do so because we think we don’t have enough.

We don’t realise all the good things God has given us. It could be a loving family, a successful career, friends for support, a house or even the food we are able to buy for ourselves and our family.

Although we might have done some work in getting to where we are at this moment. None of this would have been possible if God’s hand wasn’t on it.

You can describe success any way you like. But the success you see, comes from God.

And most of the times the good things that come from God, comes as a result of our good gestures.

There is no doubt in my mind that, every thing good comes from God. And it is one of His many desires to reward us for our kindness.

There are many scriptures in the bible about the good things God has done for us. Here are a few that clearly mentions God’s intentions.
